Duncan Family Law Future Attorneys Scholarship

Supporting Students Pursuing Careers in Law

$1,000 Annual Scholarship – 2026

Duncan Family Law is pleased to offer the Future Attorneys Scholarship, an annual $1,000 scholarship created to support students who plan to pursue a career in the legal field. This scholarship reflects our firm’s commitment to education, advocacy, and the next generation of legal professionals.

The 2026 scholarship is available to students who will be enrolled in a pre-law undergraduate program or an accredited law school in the United States during the Fall 2026 academic term.

This scholarship is offered annually and updated each academic year.

Scholarship Award

  • Award Amount: $1,000

  • Frequency: Annual

  • Permitted Use: Tuition and other qualified educational expenses

The scholarship award will be paid directly to the recipient’s school or, when appropriate, to the recipient for approved educational expenses.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must meet all of the following criteria:

  • Be a U.S. citizen or otherwise lawfully authorized to study in the United States

  • Be accepted to or currently enrolled in:

    • A pre-law undergraduate program, or

    • An accredited U.S. law school

  • Be scheduled to attend school during the Fall 2026 semester

  • Have a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA

Application Requirements

To be considered, applicants must submit the following materials:

  1. Current resume

  2. Academic transcripts (official or unofficial)

  3. Proof of acceptance or enrollment at an accredited U.S. college or law school

  4. Essay submission (1–3 pages, double-spaced)

Essay Prompt

Please submit an essay discussing your interest in the legal field and how you plan to use a legal education to positively impact individuals, families, or your community.

Selection Process

All complete applications will be reviewed by a scholarship selection committee appointed by Duncan Family Law.

The recipient will be selected based on:

  • Quality, clarity, and originality of the essay

  • Academic achievement

  • Demonstrated commitment to pursuing a career in law

Selection is merit-based. No purchase or payment is required to apply.

Important Dates

  • Application Deadline: February 15, 2026

  • Recipient Notification: On or about February 28, 2026

  • Enrollment Term: Fall 2026

Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.
